Railroad Bench

Location | Front Street Connector Trail, Bozeman, MT - Northeast Urban Renewal District.
Materials | All steel construction with hardwood bench seating and concrete sonotube foundation.
Design Intent |Covered bench seating with multiple small members forming the structure and roof of the bench. Inspired from the construction of the train trestle bridges and curved caboose roofing  of a bygone era.

​The structure for the bench is inspired by the historical trestle bridges built by the railroad. Using multiple smaller dimensioned construction members at angles to support and define the form and the structure of the bench. Reminiscent of the multiple log members used in the building of a trestle bridge.
