Bicycle Campground Pavilion

Community Projects | Shade Pavilion/Shelter for Lewis and Clark Bicycle Campground
Location | Proposed for Lewis and Clark Campground, near Three Forks, MT
Materials | Tube steel and steel plate columns & beam assembly, plate steel arcs, tube steel roof purlins and corrugated core-ten steel roofing. Steel structure for the table and bench design with Garapa hardwood. Bear-proof gear storage lockers, steel bike racks and vise for bicycle maintenance.
Design Intent |The pavilion design was inspired by the forms in a bicycle. An abstraction of the spokes of a bicycle wheel inspire the columns and the fluid curve of a bicycle wheel in motion inspire the curve of the roof.
Funding | Funding not yet secured.
In Collaboration with | Montana State Park and the Montana State Parks Foundation.
