Community Projects | Shade Pavilions for The Gallatin County Regional Park - Dog Park
Location | Gallatin County Regional Park- Dog Park, Bozeman, Montana
Materials | Angle iron, pipe & plate steel for columns & truss design. Tube steel roof purlins with corrugated core-ten steel roofing forming the curved parabolic roof. Recycled gravel mesh for panels between columns.
Design Intent | The pavilion design was inspired by the traditional 'dog house' design with the entry having an arched doorway and a steep roof pitch. The site orientation of the structures bring visitors from the park trails into the pavilion entrance. The roof expands upward & outward in a gentle parabolic curve to enhance the view of the dog park activities and the Bridger Mountain Range in the distance.
Funding | Run Dog Run Non-Profit - Marsha Anderson, Small Dog Realty & West Paw Design.
